Урок английского языка преподавателя английского языка Областного государственного автономного профессионального образовательного учреждения «Старооскольский индустриально-технологический техникум» Климовой Ольги Александровны входит в систему уроков английского языка на III курсе по разделу «Страноведение» и соответствует программе и календарно тематическому плану по предмету.
На уроке концентрируется деятельность педагога: его научная подготовка, педагогические навыки, методические умения, способность организовать различные виды деятельности обучающихся.
Содержание урока соответствует теме. Ольга Александровна наметила структуру, методику и средства обучения в строгом соответствии с поставленной целью. Удачно выбран тип урока - урок-путешествие, он способствует формированию ключевых компетенций обучающихся: личностной, коммуникативной, познавательной. Преподавателем заранее выбраны необходимые для урока наглядные пособия, технические средства, принадлежности, справочная и дополнительная литература, оборудованы рабочие места. Оформление кабинета соответствует теме и позволяет погрузиться в атмосферу Соединённого Королевства, что пробуждает интерес к предмету.
Педагог умело организует познавательную деятельность обучающихся, применяя различные формы работы: фронтальную, групповую, индивидуальную, игровую; предусмотрена самостоятельная работа обучающихся с учебной и дополнительной литературой. Ольга Александровна для работы обучающихся с текстовыми и наглядными материалами выбирает методы мотивации, аналитические, синтетические, продуктивные, дедуктивные, продуктивные, способы фронтальной ускоренной проверки. В процессе урока организован контроль и самоконтроль знаний, что позволяет обнаруживать пробелы и корректировать их.
Использование демонстрационного экрана и мультимедийного проектора на разных этапах урока способствуют повышению познавательного интереса к стране изучаемого языка, её достопримечательностям, развивают внимание, память, языковую догадку.
Применение приемов развития критического мышления в работе с текстами страноведческой направленности повышает эффективность урока.
На протяжении всего урока обучающиеся делают записи в тетрадях, заполняют таблицы, для того чтобы пользоваться полученным учебным продуктом при выполнении самостоятельной работы, в том числе и домашнего задания.
На стадии рефлексии учитель определяет настроение каждого студента, выявляет трудности и определяет примерные цели и задачи на следующий урок.
Мастерство учителя заключается главным образом в умелом владении методикой обучения и воспитания, творческом применении передового педагогического опыта, рациональном руководстве познавательной и практической деятельностью обучающихся, их интеллектуальным развитием.

Задачи урока:
Развитие социокультурной компетенции через знакомство студентов с географическим положением, достопримечательностями, культурой страны изучаемого языка.
Развитие психических функций, связанных с речемыслительной деятельностью.
Воспитание толерантного отношения к стране изучаемого языка.
Оснащение: карта Великобритании; иллюстрации с достопримечательностями Великобритании; интерактивная доска, презентация; музыкальное сопровождение.

Организационный момент (1 слайд)
Преподаватель: Good afternoon, dear students and guests! I’m glad to see you at our lesson! Today we are going to have an unusual lesson. It will be a tour.
The country we are going to visit is very often called ‘the old, sweet England”. But its official name is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or the UK. So welcome to the UK! (2 слайд и hymn, 3 слайд)

Преподаватель: (4 слайд) Look at the map. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland lies to the north –west of Europe. It is washed by the North sea, the Irish sea, the Celtic sea and the Garbed sea.
(5 слайд) The UK is divided from the mainland by the English channel. Only 35 kilometers divide Great Britain from France. It is the Strait of Dover. Look at the map of the country.
As you can see, the UK is situated on the British Isles which count about 5 500 islands. Great Britain and Ireland are the largest of them.
(6 слайд) Great Britain consists of three parts: England – the central part, Scotland - the northern part, and Wales - the western part. Great Britain and the Northern part of Ireland which is called Northern Ireland form the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Each part of the country has its own capital. (7 слайд) The capital of England is London. (8 слайд) The capital of Scotland is Edinburgh. (9 слайд) Cardiff was chosen as the capital of Wales. (10 слайд) The capital of Northern Ireland is Belfast

The total area of the UK is (16 слайд) 243 809 square kilometers, and its population is 62 641 000 people.
The UK has 5000 years history. And of course, it has own customs, traditions, culture. And now I’d like you to listen to a ballade about one of the most mysterious places on the Earth – Stonehenge. (17 слайд)
The word Stonehenge is formed of 2 words – (18 слайд) “stone” - камень and “hang” - висеть – and means «камни, повисшие в воздухе».
(19, 20 слайд) Look at the screen. Неre is the text of a ballade. Karoline, please, come to the blackboard and translate the text into Russian. (Звучит “A ballad of Stonehenge”).

Преподаватель: As you can guess, the country with such a long history attracts a lot of tourists because it is worth of visiting and studying. That’s way I hope you’ll get pleasure from the traveling around the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
We’ve invited some guides, who will tell us about the most remarkable sights of the country. And the first of them is Mr. Maxim Barsukov. Are you ready, Max? Let’s begin!
Макс Барсуков: (22 слайд)We are in England. The capital of England is London. (23 слайд) London is one of the greatest cities in the world. (24 слайд) It is an important centre of art, entertainment and high finance. (25 слайд) Its attractions include royal pageantry (зрелища), (26 слайд) architectural masterpieces, first-class museums and art galleries. (27 слайд) Well, let’s start our traveling.
(28 слайд) We are starting from Trafalgar Square. It was named to commemorate the historical naval victory won on the 21st (twenty first) of October in 1805 by the British fleet under the command of Horatio Nelson. (29 слайд) In the centre of the square there is a big column. (30 слайд) At the top of the column there is a statue of Admiral Lord Nelson. (31 слайд) The statue of Nelson is placed facing towards the sea he loved.
(32 слайд) To the north-east of Trafalgar Square there is the National Gallery of Art - one of the most important Art Galleries in the world. (33 слайд) And behind it there is the National Portrait Gallery. (34 слайд)

(36 слайд) The Houses of Parliament are known as the most popular and widely spread image of London, recognized throughout the whole world. (37 слайд) The Palace of Westminster, together with Victoria Tower and the Clock Tower - Big Ben - form а remarkable architectural complex. (38 слайд)
At the end of the House of Commons there is the Speaker's Chair. (39 слайд)

(41 слайд) It was built in 1703 for the Duke of Buckingham. (42 слайд) Now it’s the London home of the Queen. Every day a large crowd of people gather to see this famous and traditional ceremony. (46 слайд) The ceremony of the Changing of the Guard that takes place daily at eleven o'clock in the morning. It is an event that, in spite of its regularity, appears to be a solemn classical ritual, of purely British flavor. (видео)
Buckingham Palace is not only the royal residence: (47 слайд) it's a small city under one roof. (48 слайд) It has a cinema, a post-office, some cafes and a restaurant, a hospital and even a night club. (49 слайд) Besides there is a museum on the ground floor. More than 700 people work here every day. (50 слайд)

(52 слайд) They have hundreds of wax figures of almost all famous people in the world. (53 слайд) The collection was started by Madam Tussaud, a French modeler in wax, in the 18 century. (54 слайд) Here you can meet the Royal Family, (55 слайд) Marilyn Monroe, (56 слайд) Einstein, (57 слайд) Adolf Hitler, (58 слайд) Picasso and many others: writers, singers, sportsmen, politicians, movie stars. Сергей Хорт: (68 слайд) We greet you at the Tower of London! The Tower of London is the oldest museum now. (69 слайд) It was founded in the 11thcentury by William the Conqueror. (70слайд) It was a fortress, a castle, a prison and a zoo. (71 слайд) About 150 (one hundred and fifty) people and six ravens live here. (72 слайд) There are always black ravens in the Tower. (73 слайд) People look after them very carefully, as they believe that London will be rich as long as ravens live there. (74 слайд) The Tower is guarded by Beefeaters. (75 слайд) The Beefeaters used to guard the Tower and its prisoners. Today they work mostly as guides. (76 слайд) They show people around and tell stories about all the terrible things that had happened here. (77 слайд)

(80 слайд) It is the traditional place (81 слайд) of coronation of the most British Monarchs. (82 слайд) Also it is a burial place where the most famous English people were burred. (83 слайд) Among them were: (84 слайд) Winston Churchill, (85 слайд) Isaac Newton, (86 слайд) Charles Darwin, (87 слайд) Rudyard Kipling, (88 слайд) Lewis Carroll, (89 слайд) Lord Byron, (90слайд) William Shakespeare, (91 слайд) kings and queens.

(93 слайд) It is in the centre of London and is considered to be an architectural masterpiece. (94 слайд) St. Paul's Cathedral was the greatest work of Sir Christopher Wren the most talented architect of those times. (95 слайд) It is one of the largest churches in the world. (96 слайд) On the top of St. Paul's Cathedral there is a high dome, which contains (97 слайд) the Whispering Gallery. It’s wonder that there whisper can be heard at a great distance. (98 слайд)

(100 слайд)The Natural History museum is one of three largest museums in London. There are five main collections here: Botany, Entomology, Mineralogy, Paleontology and Zoology. (101 слайд) The museum is famous for its exhibition of dinosaur skeletons. (102 слайд)

(113 слайд) This castle has a beautiful garden. The garden is 400 years old. And it is beautiful walled. (114 слайд) Walled garden created by Sir David Lindsay in1604. (115 слайд)

Алекс Данильченко: There is an ancient castle in Wales, which is called Harlech Castle. (121 слайд) It stands in Harlech, Wales. (122 слайд) This castle was built atop acliff close to the Irish Sea by King Edward the first (123 слайд) during his conquest of Wales. (124 слайд)

Northern Ireland is an integral part of the UK. (126 слайд) It mainly consists of low and flat plain. (127 слайд) Northern Ireland has developed its own culture. (128 слайд) There are two national museums, lots of theatres and cinemas in the country. (129 слайд) Tourism plays an important role in the local economy, especially in recent time. Mr. Dmitri Kramarov will tell us about one of the famous Irish sighs - Dundrum Castle. (130 слайд)
Дима Крамаров: In Northern Ireland we can visit medieval ruins. (131 слайд) It is Dundrum Castle.  Dundrum Castle was founded by the legendary Norman knight John de Courcy, (132 слайд) who invaded Ireland in 1177. During many centuries this Castle had a lot of hosts. (133 слайд) In 1954 the castle and grounds were placed in State Care by the seventh Marquis Downshire. (134 слайд)
